GrowEQ has been established with the purpose of enabling individuals, organizations, institutions and families to decode emotions and channelize the enormous power of emotions, for growth and balance. This will be achieved through training, coaching, consulting and other interventions.
For individuals our purpose means the realization of one’s full potential; for families it would mean peace, love, and oneness.
For institutions and organizations, our purpose translates to enhanced people performance with work-life balance.
The top management of every organisation makes strategies and plans, to exploit the opportunities and neutralise the threats in the business environment. The success of these strategies and plans depends on the potential and performance of workers, supervisors, team leaders and managers at the execution level in the organisation. Our experience with the execution level personnel enables us to work with them so as to enhance their performance.
The way we think of people performance is as follows:
(1) We strongly believe that emotions are at the centre of performance, or, the lack of it. Emotions also stand right in the centre of all relationships including that between boss and his subordinate, with customers, clients, suppliers, vendors, contractors, etc. Thus, training in emotional effectiveness (through literacy, agility and intelligence with emotions), focussed on helping individuals to read, understand, manage and generate emotions for self-improvement and relationship enhancement, forms a big part of our raison-d'etre
(2) First-time managers, whether recruited from outside or promoted from within, are, more often than not, ill-equipped to handle, and balance, the pressures of performance against the day-to-day dynamics of team management and development. And yet, first-time-managers form an important part of the critical last-mile
link between the management and the actual business environment. They give the actual inputs that create management strategies, and they execute the plans, policies and procedures formulated by the management in response to environmental inputs. It would be no exaggeration to say that the leadership and managerial skills of first-time-managers are critical enablers of organisation success. Providing first-time managers with well-established and widely-researched perspectives on leadership and management through experiential training is an essential part of our purpose.
(3) When subordinates fail to perform, or when they make a mistake, it is upto the boss to choose his reaction. Coaching and feedforward are processes that motivate, encourage and support correction and learning to restore, or improve, performance as opposed to blaming and fault-finding which evokes defensiveness, and deterioration of boss-subordinate equation. Facilitating shift in organisational culture from command-and-control to coach-and-develop is very high on our Agenda.
Our goals, ambitions and actions shall be guided by three core values:
(1) Commitment - we shall committ only that which we can fulfill and deliver. Our systems, processes and policies will be such as will enable us to keep our commitments to our clients, employees, partners and associates
(2) Robustness - Everything we say and do will have a solid basis founded on data, objectivity, authenticity, well-established principles and sound reasoning.
(3) Growth - We shall continuously evolve, improve and grow ourself, our products, servcies, our systems, processes, people so as to set new benchmarks by meeting new challenges.
